Hometown: Udaipur, India
Program: Fashion Marketing, MPS

Coming from India to earn a graduate degree in the U.S., Reet was looking for an institution with strong industry connections and a focus on students’ needs. After considering a much larger university, Reet chose ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú.

What made you choose LIM for your master’s degree?
When researching fashion schools in New York with the best Fashion Marketing program, LIM was the top choice! In fact, LIM was one of the only colleges that offered a comprehensive program in Fashion Marketing.

What is it like being an international student at LIM?
It is very easy, as there are so many Indian students here. It is a great community for everyone to make friends. The professors are very helpful as well. Our culture is celebrated here at LIM, and we were recently able to celebrate Diwali with a campus event.

What are the benefits of studying the fashion business in New York?
You become more independent, and you find people from every culture in New York. The opportunities are endless and being a fashion student here is a dream come true.

What are your professional goals and how is LIM helping you work toward those?
I want to get into something creative and my courses at LIM are helping me navigate through my own ideas and get to know myself better. LIM has great connections. We even sat down with Macy's CEO Tony Spring a few days back for a roundtable discussion. It is these sorts of unique experiences that only LIM can provide.

What advice would you give to someone else from your country who is considering an ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú master’s program?
If you want to have great experiences, LIM is the best choice. With LIM being a small college, each student receives the focus they deserve.
