Apply for financial aid in three easy steps

Step 1: Complete your FAFSA

Applying for financial aid begins with filling out the . This online form is your key to unlocking various federal aid opportunities from LIM and the federal government.

When submitting the FAFSA, be sure to use our Federal School Code (007466). This code ensures that we receive your FAFSA information.

Step 2: Submit your ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú application

Complete your . Once you are accepted to ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú and we have your FAFSA information, we can send you a financial aid award letter.

Step 3: Send additional documents

Our Office of Student Financial Services may request additional documents to process your financial aid award letter. These documents are specific to your aid application and may include things like tax forms, income verification, or other supporting materials.

Important Dates and Deadlines

  • December 13 – Spring 2025 semester tuition and fees payment deadline
  • December 13 – Insurance waiver deadline for students who begin in the Spring 2025 semester
  • May 1 – Priority enrollment deposit deadline for incoming Fall 2025 students
  • July 24 – Fall 2025 semester tuition and fees payment deadline
  • July 24 – Insurance waiver deadline for students who begin in the Fall 2025 semester

LIM Scholarships

Scholarships are a form of financial aid you do not need to repay. You may qualify for certain scholarships depending on financial need (need-based scholarships) or your academic record (merit-based scholarships). 

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ÔÚÏß¹Û¿´Èë¿Ú offers scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students.

LIM Grants

Grants are another type of aid that do not need to be repaid. 

You might be eligible for LIM’s Grant-in-Aid if you apply by the priority deadline and meet the eligibility criteria.

We also provide Fashion Educators Grants for college and university instructors. These grants cover 50% of graduate degree tuition.

Federal & State Aid

The federal government offers students financial resources, including Pell Grants, subsidized and unsubsidized loans, and work-study opportunities.

Grants do not require repayment, while you must repay loans after a specified period. Work-study programs allow you to work on campus.

New York State also offers special financial aid for residents attending an in-state private college through New York State’s Tuition Assistance Program.
