During the Fall semester, , a gender-free fashion brand, partnered with LIM to provide a semester-long, real-world learning opportunity for students enrolled in the Fashion Forward experiential course. At the conclusion of the semester, the students were able to present their marketing ideas to Rob Smith, CEO & Founder of The Phluid Project and Anjali Soares, Director of Business Development.
The presentations focused on marketing concepts for The Phluid Project to adapt to further develop and grow an inspiring community around the brand. Students had some amazing ideas – such as Phluid Project Instagram filters, brand ambassador programs, behind-the-scenes Tik Toks, and empowering stories for YouTube.
The caliber of creativity and professionalism of LIM students was evident. Rob not only provided insightful feedback on the concepts, but also allowed a team to work with Phluid to put their plan to action. Finalists were selected and were asked to explain why their idea would be the best for The Phluid Project to implement. And on Dec. 9, the finalists explained the benefits of their concepts in another pitch to Rob and Anjali.
It was so inspiring to witness such amazing work by LIM students, with help from our wonderful professors, Nina Fiddian-Green, Erica Alpert, Ted Taylor, Jun Ishidoya-Wang. Congratulations to all of the winning teams! And a huge thank you to Rob Smith and the Phulid Project for working with LIM students.
