Studies show that consumers in the country prefer digital banks. This is clear from a study of about 4,000 Indians. The survey found that 91 percent of respondents use digital banking at least once a month.

Two-thirds of those surveyed said they were willing to switch to banks with only digital facilities for their banking needs.

The survey was conducted by Global Consultancy. About 70 percent of those surveyed said they were ready to switch to virtual banking. The consultancy said the decision by consumers would pose a challenge for banks that have not fully switched to digitization.
