Selto seals strong sales again Launched in mid-2019, the Seltos from Kia is one of the best-selling SUVs in the country.

However, the mid-size SUV segment has recently witnessed a range of new launches. Also, there are many options available in the market today for the buyer to choose from.

However, Kia Seltos is still very strong in terms of sales. The SUV has once again proved its mettle in last month's sales charts. Kia Seltos was the best-selling SUV in the Indian market in October 2021.

This means that it has been able to overtake Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushak, Volkswagen Tycoon, and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Kia Motors sold 10,488 units of the mid-size SUV last month, while Hyundai Creta sold 6,455 units.

German brand Volkswagen also sold 2,551 units of its latest offer, the Tycoon. Skoda exported 2,413 units to Kushak, while Maruti Suzuki sold only 1,524 units of the S-Craze.

Kia Seltos is currently available in three engine options, including a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol unit, a 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel motor, and a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine.

The naturally aspirated petrol unit produces 115 bhp and 144 Nm of torque. The diesel unit produces 115 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, the 1.4-liter T-GDi turbo petrol engine produces 140 bhp of maximum power and 242 Nm of peak torque. All three engines are mated to a standard 6-speed manual gearbox.

Additionally, customers can opt for the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with optional 6-speed iMT (clutch-less manual) and an IVT auto. The 1.5-liter diesel engine is also available with an optional 6-speed automatic. The 1.4-liter turbo-petrol unit is paired with an optional 7-speed DCT.

The company is launching an updated version of the Seltos in the middle of this year. The ex-showroom price of the vehicle ranges from Rs 9.95 lakh to Rs 17.65 lakh.

The company has introduced the model in the market with a new logo design and many other features. The model is upgraded with wraparound LED headlamps, a tiger-nose grille, and a muscular bumper.
