A few weeks ago, the Japanese manufacturer Honda introduced a model called the CB200X to the Adventure range. It is also known to share many components with the Hornet 2.0, another brand of its own offer.

But when two motorcycles share the same engine and frame, there are enough differences to stand out from the crowd. This article examines what these differences are.

Design
Starting with the Hornet 2.0, I have to say that the motorcycle is honest with the Street Fighters tradition. It gets a sharp design with a mass-forward appeal.

The fuel tank has large shields. Also, gold-finished USD forks look beautiful. From the sides, the silhouette is large enough to grab your attention.

The CB200X is available in a total of 3 color options, namely Pearl Nightstar Black, Matte Saline Silver Metallic, and Sportswear Red. Now talking about the CB200X, a mass forward appeal emphasizes its silhouette, and you get a beef tank.

The front forks are an upside-down unit. It is also finished in gold. The belly pan enhances the aesthetics, and the split seat tail section makes it attractive. Overall, both motorcycles are well designed according to their body style.

Features
Needless to say, the CB200X has no shortage of features. It gets a negative backlit LCD instrument console. It offers a lot of information for the ride.

Here you can adjust the brightness using 5 levels. Going forward, Honda is also offering a set of handguards on the Honda CB200X. They come with integrated turn indicators.

The model also has a tall windscreen. Other highlights encompass upside-down forks, abs, split seats, and more.

On the Hornet, the feature list is almost the same. The motorcycle comes with a negative LCD for the instrument cluster. It shows readouts for battery voltage.

Also can be adjusted for clear floors. However, handguards with integrated turn signals miss it. The LED headlamp is available on the Hornet 2.0.

The same goes for the upside-down forks in gold. At times like these, when manufacturers offer phone chargers and Bluetooth connectivity as a common feature, these Honda motorcycles lose both of these features.

Performance
The CB200X is powered by a single unit of 184.44 cc. It produces 17.3 bhp and 16.1 Nm of torque. The air-cooled unit is paired only with a 5-speed gearbox.

It uses a seal chain that Honda claims require minimal maintenance. As mentioned above, the suspension setup is borrowed from Hornet 2.0. Of course, suspension travel is similar.

The model comes with 17-inch rims. Furthermore, the CB200X uses block pattern tires for some extra grip on the loose surface. Furthermore, the ground clearance stays the same at 167 mm.

Since Hornet 2.0 shares a lot with its ADV brothers, there is no difference to talk about the performance range. The engine is a 184.4 cc motor. Needless to say, there were no changes in power or torque.

Price
The new Honda CB200X is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh ex-showroom. But the Hornet 2.0 has to pay Rs 1.31 lakh as ex-showroom price.
