Aura is a popular model from Korean manufacturer Hyundai in the compact sedan range. The company launched the Accent replacement model earlier this year.
The company had launched the updated Aura a few months back. Now the manufacturers have given minor upgrades to the vehicle.
The brochure of the model has been updated on the website revealing new changes. As part of the changes, the company withdrew its rear wing spoiler offered in the S, SX, SX +, and SX (O) variants. In addition to this change, the features are reported to remain unchanged.
A few months ago the car manufacturer introduced a pin wing spoiler company for the above-mentioned trims of the compact sedan. Following this, this feature is now being withdrawn from these variants.
In addition, it features an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a wireless charger, automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity, a cool glovebox, and projector headlamps for keyless entry and height adjustment.
The company, meanwhile, said there were no other changes or upgrades. The company will continue to offer Oreo three powertrain options in mechanical features.
The 1.2-liter petrol unit produces 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque while the 1.0-liter turbo petrol produces 99 bhp and 172 Nm of maximum torque.
The 1.2-liter diesel unit produces 74 bhp and 190 Nm of maximum torque. Although a five-speed manual gearbox is available as standard, the AMT unit only offers 1.2-liter petrol and 1.2-liter diesel derivatives.
The company has also announced that a Singi version will be available in the vehicle. The CNG version is based on a 1.2-liter petrol unit.
The company said it would not change the price of the vehicle. The current version is priced at Rs 5.99 lakh and the higher version is priced at Rs 9.36 lakh ex-showroom. A few design elements from the Grand i10 Nios model can also be seen on the Aura.
The Aura features Hyundai's signature cascading grille, dual boomerang-shaped LED DRL, and sharp headlamps with projector lights.
The rear of the car features a sculpted boot-lip and wrap-round tail lamps featuring a 3D outer lens. Inside, it includes a touchscreen infotainment system supported by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-tone dashboard, steering wheel-mounted controls, push-button start and stops function.
Safety features on the Hyundai Aura include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, a seat belt reminder system, rear parking sensors, cameras, keyless entry, a fast alert system, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
In the market, Aura competes with strong rivals such as Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Ames, Ford Aspire, and Tata Tigor.
Meanwhile, other news from Hyundai shows that the company is all set to launch a micro SUV. It has been rumored that this model will be available in India as well.
However, reports suggest that the model will not be available in the country. Tata Motors is all set to launch a new model in the same range.
Hyundai, also known as the Casper, is expected to compete with the Tata Punch in the range. But I have to say that waiting is irrelevant.
Meanwhile, Tata Motors is all set to launch a new model in the range, the Punch. Tata Punch is coming to this range with many innovations.
