Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that the state government fully agrees with the High Court decision that the second dose of the Covishield vaccine can be taken after four weeks.

The Chief Secretary and the Health Secretary will inform the concerned officials of the Central Government in this regard. The CM also said that he would seek permission for the High Court order.

However, he said it was up to the central government to decide.

Meanwhile, the total number of vaccinations in the state, including one and two, has crossed three crores. So far, 3,01,00,716 doses of the vaccine have been given. The Chief Minister told a news conference that vaccination in the state was higher than the national average.
